Welcome

Welcome To Manor Primary School

We are unique in that we are a five form entry Infant school on the Leftley Estate at Sandringham Road in Barking and a three form entry Primary school set in a modern building on Longbridge Road in Dagenham.

Our vision is to provide all our children with a challenging, engaging and safe environment, which promotes a lifelong love of learning. This ethos is evident in all we do.

We offer a thoughtful sequential curriculum, which challenges the children to be creative and to become resilient and learn the skills they will need for their future lives. Our Values Education programme promotes harmony, honesty and integrity, whilst our exciting, creative curriculum harnesses and reflects our vibrant community of London.

We take pride in all we do and welcome visitors to come and see school life in action.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs A Tabrett
Executive Headteacher

History of Manor Primary school

Manor Infant School opened on Sandringham Road in 1935 to serve a rapidly growing population in East London. It has since gone from strength to strength and has now expanded to become a 5-form entry school which continues to provide high quality education for all its children.

The Manor Longbridge site opened in September 2011 again to serve the rapid population growth in East London. It is a 3-form entry Primary School which is housed in a modern building.

The composition of our pupils and staff is reflected in the school’s philosophy, resources and curricular frameworks.

All the children throughout the school have opportunities to learn about and explore each other’s cultural background without special emphasis on any particular group. We therefore celebrate a variety of festivals from a range of faiths and cultures.

The children will learn about and respect each other’s cultures and traditions. We hope this will foster relationships of mutual trust and openness, thus developing the children’s understanding of the world we live in.
